Meet Our Apostle

Greetings!

My name is Apostle Cynthia Bellamy and I’m excited that you are exploring our website today! No matter what your reason is for stopping by here today, my prayer is that you will see, hear, or learn something that will help you in your journey of faith.

Pastor Cynthia Bellamy was born to the late Overseer Carrie E. Loyd and the late Rev. Agnew Loyd. She received her formal education in the Stamford, CT public school system and has attained a Diploma of Practical Theology and is currently enrolled in International Seminary in Plymouth, FL on a quest to receive her degree in Marriage & Family Counseling.

She was raised in church her whole life, but truly started her walk with God at the age of 19 years old when she received the gift of the Holy Ghost. She told God “If you can’t keep me, don’t save me. “She is kept today, over 40 years later, by the POWER of GOD.

While under her mother’s ministry she served in almost every capacity; Usher, Choir director, Evangelist, Prophetess, Youth Leader, Treasurer, Assistant Chairperson of the Executive Board, and more. When the time came for Overseer Loyd to pass her pastoral mantle, there was no question about who could do the job. Pastor Cynthia Bellamy was installed as Pastor of Faith Outreach Apostolic Church in Bridgeport, CT on October 25, 2009, under the leadership of the late Overseer Carrie E. Loyd, her Overseer, her mother, and her friend.

Since her installation, the church has continued to grow and flourish in many ways. Faith Outreach is widely known for their popular yearly events like the Annual War conference and their “Upper Room Experience” Pentecost services. They also have a number of outreach/help programs which includes a weekly food pantry, monthly care packages to those in need, yearly scholarships, and more. In addition, Pastor Bellamy has initiated a project to build a Community Youth Center which was always part of her mother’s vision for the church. Moreover, her prophetic and evangelical ministries, which are in high demand, have allowed her to travel extensively.

In December 2022, the Lord called her mother home. Overseer Carrie E Loyd went home to be with Jesus at the age of 84. Within six months of her transition, Pastor Bellamy tragically and suddenly lost her adjutant, travel buddy, mentee, and close friend-Minister Tahira Williams at the age of 35. The loss was unimaginable. Though grief can be all-consuming, she stands today with the testimony “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living.” (Psalm 27:13-14).

Though the Lord in his infinite wisdom chose to call Overseer Carrie E. Loyd home, He graced Pastor Bellamy to continue the work that she started. To continue the legacy of love set forth by Overseer Carrie E. Loyd, Pastor Cynthia Bellamy founded The ‘CARRIE Foundation. Overseer Loyd dedicated her life to helping others and using her experiences to better the world around her. With that same tenacity and diligence, the CARRIE Foundation will provide services and support the elderly.

In addition to starting this foundation, Pastor Bellamy continued to help Pastors and ministries in the midst of her grief She began mentoring other leaders by providing wisdom, resources, and invaluable support. After multiple confirmations, God made it clear that He was calling Pastor Bellamy to step into the office of Apostle. After all she has endured, she chose to give God another yes.

Pastor Bellamy is the wife of Brother Jimmie Bellamy, and they have been married for 35 years! They are the parents of four children, grandparents of 14, great-grandparents of 4, and godparents of 25.

Her Motto: Too close to Quit, and too far to fall!
