Home Field & Missions Ministry
Home and Foreign Field Mission Statement
“For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.” Deuteronomy 15:11
Our mission for the Home and Foreign Field is to encourage, engage and educate all whom we encounter by having meaningful and spiritually positive support for individuals, families, communities, missions, and evangelism. We believe fellowship and collaboration internally and externally are essential to fulfilling our mission and Kingdom building.
The Home and Foreign Field Auxiliary is dedicated in serving and promotes home and foreign mission efforts. The Faith Outreach Apostolic Church food pantry, through its volunteers, provides a safe environment for individuals and families, regardless of race, color, national origin, religious creed, age or disability to receive food, supplies and other goods. We envision a community where everyone has access to good quality nutritious food and non-perishable items and resources.
It is our hope that we not only nourish the spiritual man through sustenance, but through acts of kindness and demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ. Our objective is to help heal the hurt of hunger and a goal is to provide a hot meal to those in need. Our vision is to continue to grow our outreach service to various mission and remain effective in our homes, churches, communities, and foreign fields.
This is heart work not hard work!
Prayerfully Submitted,
Minister Stephan LeConte
Missionary Board Mission Statement
Our mission statement for our missionaries is bringing lost souls to Jesus, to go into all the world and to preach the gospel to every creature that all may be saved and come to the Knowledge of the truth.
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15)
As Missionaries we see our goal for this year as having three basic aims. Our first aim is to increase our street witnessing, continuing with Faith Outreach’s immediate neighborhood first. Along with Christ’s message of salvation we aim to distribute informational flyers on our food pantry. We understand that if a brother or sister is destitute of daily food we cannot say to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled. “If we do not give them the things, which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Faith, if it does not have works, is dead. “(James 2:17)
Our second aim is to reach out to the community through various activities. One would be a summer outdoor service held on our adjacent property at 42 Bond Street. Other activities would include visits to nursing homes and hospitals along with home visits to shut-ins and the bereaved. We want to remember that “pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in there trouble and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.” James 1:27
Our third future aim we have is the starting of a prison ministry. In conclusion our goal as Faith Outreach missionaries is multifaceted, embracing witnessing, outdoor services and addressing community needs both physical and spiritual.
