Go Tell It

Message Preached on October 2, 2022 by Minister Mona Lee

2 Timothy 4:1-5

In this scripture, Timothy was given a charge. This charge was for Timothy to preach and proclaim the good news. Sadly, in this world we are living in, many are coming up with all sorts of religions. Yet, God has stated you will know the truth! Go and tell the truth of the Gospel. Do not be afraid. Wherever God has set you, give His word. Tell them something about God. Make it known that He is real, He is Love, peace, and that He will do it.

Proclaim the good news! Announce it! Give the message of deliverance. There are too many people around us that are hurting, dying, and sitting at home contemplating what they are going to do. They are literally asking themselves “what am I going to do?” You have what they need! You have the word of God to deliver and proclaim. When God sends you a word of encouragement for someone, it’ll be wise to not hold back. Speak what the Lord has put on your heart for them in love. Tell the good news of Jesus!

It doesn’t matter where you are, let someone know that Jesus loves them. He can heal and deliver them. Jesus saves! Jesus can pull them out of their situation. All you need to do is open your mouth and speak the Word. All of the nutrients we get from Sunday services and Bible study is not for us alone; it must be shared. We cannot be selfish with the Word of the Lord. The Word alone can be all that they need, at that particular moment.

We are disciples of Christ and there’s a command on us. A command to love, show mercy, have compassion, serve, and it must be done unto God. God is telling us to Go! If you go, He’ll go with you. You don’t know what to say? He’ll speak for you! Don’t worry how they look at you or what they say. God has you. Share the news of Jesus.

I Got to Protect My Anointing

Message Preached on September 25, 2022 by Minister Genesis Spellman

Matthew 1: 18-22

(Deuteronomy 2: 23-24; Romans 12:1; 1 Peter 1:15; 2 Corinthians 6:17)

Through the story of Joseph and Mary, one must closely observe how Joseph had a task given to him by the Angel of the Lord. This task was to protect the anointed one. Mary, chosen of by the Holy Ghost to carry and birth Jesus, the anointed one. Joseph didn’t really understand the extent of the task. He didn’t fully know how powerful, and great Jesus was going to be.

In Jewish customs, proper steps are needed to go through with marriage. The two families must agree to the union and make a public announcement. Joseph and Mary, howbeit, were espoused. Meaning “marry” “to take up and support as a cause, become attached to“. They were already married, living with each other, and pregnant. Yet, no sexual activities occurred between them. According to Jewish laws, Joseph had the right to divorce Mary. The law included stoning Mary to death, and Joseph too (ref. Deut. 2:23-24). Joseph, a righteous man had a difficult choice to make. He thought he had only two options in this matter, to divorce or quietly put Mary away. Yet God, had a different plan in mind. Joseph had to protect the child, the anointed one.

In dissecting this text, ask yourself, how are you protecting your anointing? Joseph had two dreams, one which revealed that Mary will carry a child. The other revealed how Joseph needed to protect Jesus. Joseph had the task to protect the most powerful man in the world. How would you protect what Jesus had given to you for His Kingdom? As anointed, doing whatever you desire does not exist. For Romans 12 tells us to present our bodies as living sacrifices, Holy. Your conversations must be different (ref. 1 Peter 1:15). Even the places you desire to enter, the clubs, casino, or your boo’s house in those late night hours. There has to be a change in your actions! Come out from among them. You can no longer return or continue in old habits that were only hindering you. What are you willing to do to protect this anointing?

There has to be a disconnect from the old. Your association has to be different and your behavior must mirror that. Someone is watching and paying attention to you. What God has entrusted to you, you must carry it well, protect it, and do what’s necessary to keep the anointing.

What will you do to protect God’s anointing?
