John 15: 1-15

How are you clean? Are you clean by the shouting in church? Is it in speaking in tongues? There is nothing wrong with shouting/dancing in church; or with speaking in tongues, as the Spirit gives utterance. However, John 15:3 say we are clean through the Word of God. This is the only thing that can cleanse you, God’s Word.

Verse 7 tells us, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” Oh the benefits that comes when you are connected to the Word of God. The condition is to abide in God. How can you ask God of things you desire yet are not abiding in Him? How are you desiring God’s benefits yet you are not doing His will? It takes something to obtain the promises and benefits of God. You must have a committed and surrendered life.

The scripture is telling us we can ask what you will, and it shall; the word shall is indicating that it is a promise. When you are in God, don’t ask things that are out of His will. Your desires change and only the things of God are desirable. The thing that Jesus did, providing us instructions to follow, is that He loved his Father’s commandments. Jesus continued to abide in God’s love. Therefore, if you continue to abide in God and keep His commandments, you will continue in God’s love.

One thing about our Father, He has made many things known to us because He calls us friends. As his friend, God is not withholding any secrets from us. Jesus did not withhold anything from His disciples. He needed someone to carry on what He was doing once he ascended. Now, Jesus did not simply pick anyone for such a task but he prayed not just once but twice, before appointing the Apostles that would carry on His work. He stayed connected to His Father in prayer.

Jesus is the true vine. The vine is the source of life. For branches, the vine provides water and nutrients. Fruits will not come if the vine doesn’t produces what it needs. The vine which is Jesus, is your lifeline and the branches connected to Him have to produce. If the branches are not producing, it will be taken from the vine and thrown in the fire. It is important for you to examine your life and ask yourself, ‘what are you producing?’

Tree Vines

Are you in the ground connected enough to get your nutrients? Are you growing and producing fruit? Jesus is the vine, you are the branches, and God is the owner. God can do whatever He desires to make sure we are producing. You must produce in the season God has you in. Do notlet another season pass you by and your are not producing. For there is a function God has called you to. God has called you to make disciples and you have to produce at some point. Hence, when you produce, ask what ye will and it shall be done unto you.

Be ready for the pruning, ready for a cleansing. Let every branch in you abide in Jesus. You cannot live without the source of the vine that gives life.

Stay connected.

The Promise: Nothing Is Impossible with God

Message Preached on December 4, 2022 by Minister Mona Lee

Mark 10: 27

It doesn’t matter what you may be going through or what you see with your eyes that seems impossible. God can make the impossible things possible! In Mark 10: 27, Jesus is saying that “nothing” is impossible with God. The things you may believe to be difficult to accomplish, God is saying it is possible only with Him. The vital thing to remember and know, you must believe and it shall happen.

We read in God’s word that there is no limit to His power. You have to take the limits off God. Take the breaks off and see what God can do. He has no limitations. God is not restrained by the laws of nature; He alone created them. No matter what you are going through, science and nature may say it cannot happen or even be. Yet, with God IT IS possible. Even in going to the doctor’s and hearing these words, “there’s nothing else we can do”. Yet, you know a God that seats high and looks low, and with Him what the doctor’s cannot do, He will do it.

Don’t let it ever cross your mind that God cannot save you either, for He can. If it’s possible for me; it is possible for you to be save. God can deliver you and set you free. For it is only through Him that it can happen. Only He can make this possible, not men. God can use you, for He is no respecter of persons. He is a God of miracles. He can work a miracle in your life. What He does for one person, He can do the same for you. He is the God of the just and the unjust.

Remove the doubt out of your mind. Make a choice and have faith in the one and only true living God. Whatever the situation, know and believe Jesus is with you. He is a God of possibilities.

Have Faith! God’s faithfulness and grace, makes it possible.

Immediate Results Leads to Following Christ

Message Preached on November 27, 2022 by Pastor Cynthia D. Bellamy

Mark 10: 46-52

There are things in life we need immediately. Too often we pray and we say “right now, God” but certain things need immediate results. We need God to come through quick, fast, and in a hurry. He needs to show up like before we lose it.

In Mark 10: 46-52, we read of the blind man in Jericho by the name of Bartimaeus who sat by the highway side, begging. Many of times we ourselves come to Jesus with a specific need and in search of a healing. God will heal or provide that need, right; then we leave. Then something else comes our way, and we come back to him for yet another healing. Bartimaeus in the scripture begging shows there was an immediate need. He was in need of an immediate healing. However, he heard about the man name Jesus. Hearing of Jesus, he began to publicly cry out his needs to be heard. Sometimes we are just begging others but they don’t really understand what you need. The need can only be met by Jesus.

The people around Bartimaeus in hearing him cry out, wanted him to hold his peace. While begging and reaching out to others, the people then did not silence him. However, the time when Jesus is near is when they wanted him to hold his peace. Bartimaeus thought not, and cried the more to be heard. Often, there are those in our surroundings that want us to stay in that begging position. However, we need to realize only Jesus can remove us from that begging position. Bartimaeus had persistence and determination. He knew what he wanted from Jesus. Can you say the same about yourself? Are you persistent and determined to receive your needs from God? Calling on the name of Jesus is the only way to get an answer and for Him to show up on your behalf.

In Jesus’ healing throughout scripture, they are not always the same. With this particular text, Jesus called and told the disciples to bring him. Jesus wanted to know what Bartimaeus was in need of. In relating to ourselves, when we have God’s attention we better know what to ask for! It is not time to ask for a car, a house, or these materialistic things but it is time to seek His Kingdom first. What is it you need God to do in that opportunity? Bartimaeus knew what to ask Jesus, and it was for him to receive his sight.

When you call Jesus, He will reply but what will your own reply be? In that moment, you need to respond. Calling Jesus implies there is a need in your life. Bartimaeus calling on the name of Jesus, received his sight but it did not end with him simply receiving his sight and going about his way. After receiving his sight from Jesus, Bartimaeus followed in Jesus’ way. What is this saying? When God does something for you, your way is no longer yours but it shall mirror the way of Christ. Not only was Bartimaeus healed, Jesus saved him, and he begin following Jesus’ way.

Put down your way and begin to follow Jesus! You may come for one thing but once you hear about Jesus there is no excuse. You must come to a conclusion you no longer want to go through these life cycles, that has you stuck over and over. No longer desiring to be in the same place constantly but now desiring to follow Jesus. You must believe in Jesus over believing others. Bartimaeus’ faith healed him and saved him. You, on the other, do not have to stay in the condition you are in or remain on a rollercoaster.

Jesus gave Bartimaeus a choice after he received what he needed, either to leave or follow Him. What will you do after you receive your needs, your healing, that deliverance? Will you leave or choose to follow Christ?

Stillness and Rest As A Weapon

Message Preached on November 20, 2022 by Minister Tasha Summers

Psalm 37:37; Psalm 46:10; Psalm 62:5; Exodus 14:14; Job 37:14; Ephesians 3:20

In trying to get our way, we tend to do things in the flesh. We know our flesh only brings problems. There’s always a constant battle between the flesh and the spirit; they will never agree. It’s like oil and vinegar; it just doesn’t mix. The flesh must be under subjection. We must learn to give it to God. God is telling us to give Him all our burdens, and cast all our cares upon His shoulders. God doesn’t want you worn down and weigh down.

Our Heavenly Father is gracious and merciful. God needs transparency from us. If we are in denial about our issues, we can’t get the help that we need. God wants us to come to Him and say “Father, I need You.” “Father, I want you.”Come into my heart and set me free.”

This is what God wants for us. He doesn’t want us to be heavy and worn out. Cast all our cares to Him and not take it back from Him. We cannot be impatient with God. Thinking He’s not moving, when He is working in our favor. God’s timing is not our timing! You cannot rush God with the things you want. In Psalm 37:37, you have to patiently wait and not receive a microwaved blessing. To have your blessing perfected, wait on the Lord.

Psalm 46:10 tells us to be still, and know He is God. Where is our stillness? We are not God. You need the whole armour of God to fight our problems. The best way to fight our problems is in prayer. Seal the armour with prayer. Psalm 62:5, a reminder that our expectation is in God. Exodus 14:14, let the Lord fight for us. We wear ourselves out trying to fight a battle we cannot handle.

Consider the blessings, His wonders, and what He has for you. Stop and think about these things. Look unto God, not yourself. Rest, it strengthens you, restores, renews, allows to Hear God’s voice, and hear the next move & instructions. All of this IF we quiet the noise in our heads, not rely on ourselves, get to that quiet place, and put down your will for God’s will.

Ephesians 3:20, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,…” Who’s power do you have? You cannot do anything in your power. We must allow God’s power to work through us and all around us, that we may rest and be still in God.

Will The Doubters Please, Leave The Room

Message Preached on November 13, 2022 by Evangelist Amanda L. Campbell

Luke 8: 40-56

What seems to have taken place is we have surrounded ourselves with reality which we should. Yet, we have allowed what is going on around us to consume what Jesus can do. Allow faith to get aggressive enough, for your flesh to get frustrated. Feel like giving up, Jesus steps in the room. Anything you need, now is the time to get it from God. Remember the name of the Lord. The name of Jesus HAS power!

You have to recall in scripture and in this particular chapter in Luke, is that no matter where Jesus went, there was results. Healing took place, deliverance, or someone’s faith made whole. What you must do is get every doubter out of your circle, out of your mind, out of your home; and say as for me and my house we will serve the Lord. You need to tell these doubters to mind their business, and you focus on Jesus.

Peter, James, John, the father, and the mother of the maiden, were the only ones Jesus allowed to remain in the room. Sometimes we bring too many people around us with the wrong attitude. Those that don’t believe the same thing you are believing. You cannot allow someone else to tell you that God is not able. God wants you to know that there is too many people that doubt Him, that are around you. It’s not comfortable believing God in a hard place. Yet, without Faith it is impossible to please God (ref. Hebrew 11:6).

Faith will have you pray. It will make you live Holy. Faith will cause you to believe God on a level that seems crazy. Doubt is a feeling of uncertainty or a lack of conviction. It is disbelief of a person’s word or deed. Doubting says you don’t believe God can or capable of doing exceedingly and abundantly. If God can go to the Cross and rise of the third day, why can’t He take care of you?

What God is asking of you is to increase your faith. There is a measure of faith we are given. All we need is a little like that of a mustard seed. It is God’s hope that you do not stay with just a little faith. It is hope through the test and trials, God stretches you to believe that He can. God has more for you. He blesses much as you believe Him. Just know that desperate time calls for desperate measures. Where you have to be willing to lay some things and people aside, to get to Jesus. Being desperate for more of God should be the cry of every believing Christian. Seek Ye First the Kingdom (Matt. 6:33)!

God is giving you an opportunity to know you can be a living example, of what He needs you to be in this dying world. You do not have to be the one that has two opinions. No need to speak blessings and curses out of your mouth. No need to live up to the names others had given you. You are a child of God! There must be a changed behavior.

Restoration only comes from God! Your situation will turn around and bring God Glory. What you’re going through is only temporary. We have to be honest with ourselves in God. We need to change! First, the doubters must leave your vicinity. Take a look around and pray if there’s any doubters or doubt within you, ask God to remove it. You do not have much time left; make a decision.

What will you choose?

I Survived The Fall

Message Preached on November 6, 2022 by Pastor Cynthia D. Bellamy

James 1:1-3

The things that should have taking you out, even killed you, but somehow by the Grace of God, you survived it! People may have counted you out and didn’t think you would make it through that problem, that stumble but, you survived the fall. Some people may have even looked at you funny but it is time to let them know you are in your recovery process!

Those same people will wonder well how did you do it? How did you survive it? Think about James, the half brother of Jesus in the Bible. James, known as one with camel knees, received that nickname because he spent much time on his knees praying. James was a man of prayer! He didn’t mind praying. The praying is what got him through difficult times. The praying is what got you to survive the fall. Is there any evidence that you have been in prayer, and on your knees before the Lord?

Sometimes God places us in a position that even if you want to move, you cannot. For if you were to move from where God has placed you, it will take you out. That position He places you in can be the very thing that makes you survive the fall. You may not understand and others will question how you’re managing, but God and the position He has placed you will speak for itself. God will use anything and anyone to save your life. You may be going through but your position is important. Your posture before the Lord is important. For if you do fall, it won’t kill you.

Looking at James 1, our faith is tested through trials NOT produced by trials. Faith, is tested, it is important, and it is so precious. Only precious things are tested so thoroughly. You are precious in the eyes of God. Your patience and your faith is very important. Whatever you do, when you fall into divers temptation, keep the faith. The only way to survive is to pray, keep the faith, and position yourself for a full recovery.

Do You Really Know Who You Are?

Message Preached on October 30, 2022 by Pastor Charles Little

Romans 12:1-2

Outside of your vocation and your title, do you really know who you are? We tend to define ourselves by the standards of men, instead of the standards of God. All throughout our lives what we realize is that those around us define, or at least try, to define who we are. So much so that we start to please or pattern our lives after who they say we are. Again, ask yourself do you really know who you are?

As a child, there were labels put on you. Often these labels allow you to be shaped and defined. You can also be destroyed by these labels that were spewed out. Have you ever been aspired to do something because family wanted it? Or others were projecting on you to do a certain thing? To the point you achieved what was pushed, only to realize you don’t even like what you’re doing. You reached that ladder of the corporate job or got promoted, only to realize it’s not what you wanted or thought it would be. What’s happening is there is no fulfillment in what you thought you wanted, or better yet what “they” wanted for you.

We struggle to meet others expectations. Sometimes you succeed and other times you fail in meeting those expectations. Many are finding themselves unhappy and unsatisfied; circling back to the question of ‘Do you know who you really are’? Too often we see others leaving their homes, marriages, spending money, using substances, and going on sabbaticals just to find their identity. Still no answer to what they seek.

Something that comes easy, we don’t pay much attention to. The Gospel of Jesus is so easily available to us that we often lose sight of the ramifications of what God is asking of us. When you decide to take heed of God’s call on your life, and accept; you’re deciding to step out of what you knew into something you did not know. Abraham was a perfect example of this (ref. Genesis 12). The only time and way to know who you are is when you accept the call of God.

Stop setting your standards according to someone else’s standards! You’re not able to find out who you are because you are too busy fixing your eyes on others. Don’t emulate others and what they have. Work out your calling and know where God has called you. There’s no need for jealousy but know who you are in God and not in what others have to say you are.

Talk to God to know your identity. Go before Him and don’t be afraid to ask, ‘who am I’, ‘what have you called me to do?’ To go even further, surround yourself with people who will pour into you.

For to present yourself as a living sacrifice, you must know who you are in God.

Go Tell It

Message Preached on October 2, 2022 by Minister Mona Lee

2 Timothy 4:1-5

In this scripture, Timothy was given a charge. This charge was for Timothy to preach and proclaim the good news. Sadly, in this world we are living in, many are coming up with all sorts of religions. Yet, God has stated you will know the truth! Go and tell the truth of the Gospel. Do not be afraid. Wherever God has set you, give His word. Tell them something about God. Make it known that He is real, He is Love, peace, and that He will do it.

Proclaim the good news! Announce it! Give the message of deliverance. There are too many people around us that are hurting, dying, and sitting at home contemplating what they are going to do. They are literally asking themselves “what am I going to do?” You have what they need! You have the word of God to deliver and proclaim. When God sends you a word of encouragement for someone, it’ll be wise to not hold back. Speak what the Lord has put on your heart for them in love. Tell the good news of Jesus!

It doesn’t matter where you are, let someone know that Jesus loves them. He can heal and deliver them. Jesus saves! Jesus can pull them out of their situation. All you need to do is open your mouth and speak the Word. All of the nutrients we get from Sunday services and Bible study is not for us alone; it must be shared. We cannot be selfish with the Word of the Lord. The Word alone can be all that they need, at that particular moment.

We are disciples of Christ and there’s a command on us. A command to love, show mercy, have compassion, serve, and it must be done unto God. God is telling us to Go! If you go, He’ll go with you. You don’t know what to say? He’ll speak for you! Don’t worry how they look at you or what they say. God has you. Share the news of Jesus.

I Got to Protect My Anointing

Message Preached on September 25, 2022 by Minister Genesis Spellman

Matthew 1: 18-22

(Deuteronomy 2: 23-24; Romans 12:1; 1 Peter 1:15; 2 Corinthians 6:17)

Through the story of Joseph and Mary, one must closely observe how Joseph had a task given to him by the Angel of the Lord. This task was to protect the anointed one. Mary, chosen of by the Holy Ghost to carry and birth Jesus, the anointed one. Joseph didn’t really understand the extent of the task. He didn’t fully know how powerful, and great Jesus was going to be.

In Jewish customs, proper steps are needed to go through with marriage. The two families must agree to the union and make a public announcement. Joseph and Mary, howbeit, were espoused. Meaning “marry” “to take up and support as a cause, become attached to“. They were already married, living with each other, and pregnant. Yet, no sexual activities occurred between them. According to Jewish laws, Joseph had the right to divorce Mary. The law included stoning Mary to death, and Joseph too (ref. Deut. 2:23-24). Joseph, a righteous man had a difficult choice to make. He thought he had only two options in this matter, to divorce or quietly put Mary away. Yet God, had a different plan in mind. Joseph had to protect the child, the anointed one.

In dissecting this text, ask yourself, how are you protecting your anointing? Joseph had two dreams, one which revealed that Mary will carry a child. The other revealed how Joseph needed to protect Jesus. Joseph had the task to protect the most powerful man in the world. How would you protect what Jesus had given to you for His Kingdom? As anointed, doing whatever you desire does not exist. For Romans 12 tells us to present our bodies as living sacrifices, Holy. Your conversations must be different (ref. 1 Peter 1:15). Even the places you desire to enter, the clubs, casino, or your boo’s house in those late night hours. There has to be a change in your actions! Come out from among them. You can no longer return or continue in old habits that were only hindering you. What are you willing to do to protect this anointing?

There has to be a disconnect from the old. Your association has to be different and your behavior must mirror that. Someone is watching and paying attention to you. What God has entrusted to you, you must carry it well, protect it, and do what’s necessary to keep the anointing.

What will you do to protect God’s anointing?

You Don’t Have to Fall

Message Preached on September 11, 2022 by Pastor Cynthia D. Bellamy

Jude 17-25

There are moments in life where you just want to give up. You just want to throw in the towel, and say enough is enough. Know that with Jesus, giving up is not an option. Falling or stumbling along the way, is not an option because of Him. However, if you fall know that Jesus always give precautions beforehand. It is what you do with those precautions and your faith, that determines the next.

In Jude verse twenty, it tells us “beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith.” Too many times we look and are waiting on others to encourage us, to build us up. Even get offended or upset when we don’t get the proper pat on the back. Even when others are being celebrated, and it looks like every name is called. Yet, it appears that they skipped over your name for a celebration. Let’s be honest here, you may feel some type of way about it. When you say you don’t care, deep down you know you personally do. Know this one thing for sure, God will never forget about you. The Bible tells us that our names are written in the palm of His hand (ref. Isaiah 49:16) . We are constantly changing but God is a God that never change. He won’t forget about you!

So we must build up ourselves when life gets hard! God had left us something. This something is the Holy Ghost! IT IS our comforter that when we need to build up ourselves on our most Holy faith, we must begin to pray in the Holy Ghost. We must take time to build up ourselves when others are not available. When you call on Jesus, He will answer! You will shed less tears calling on His name. Calling on Jesus will push you to enter the House of the Lord, even when you don’t even feel like it. For when you begin to build up yourself, praying in the Holy Ghost, the Holy Ghost Power can do ANYTHING!

“Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling,…………” Not just from falling, from stumbling, keep you from sinning, cursing, and all these worldly behaviors. Remember, you’re building yourselves on your most Holy faith. Henceforth, unto Him who is ABLE to keep you from falling, think on that. You don’t have to Fall. Precautions have already been put in place! For when you want to give up, you want to give in, know that God has already set up the precautions for you NOT to fall. You may be dealing with certain cycles in your life, falling over the same problems, sins, or circumstances. However, do know that God has put some precautions in place to help you!

The devil will never stop chasing you. He will never stop talking to you. Though scripture tells us “my sheep know my voice, and a stranger will they not follow” (ref. John 10: 4-5). You must make a choice! You cannot wait for someone else to build you up and keep you from falling into the devil’s demise. Build yourself up and talk to that spirit man. Since some precautions are in place, there should be no worries.

Our Heavenly Father is able to keep you from falling and present you faultless. If you end up falling, this in only because you made a choice to fall. What choice will you make? Know what is acceptable to God, and not fall. The Holy Ghost power will keep you. Do not put yourself in a position where you cannot handle something. Let this forever be in your thought that God is able to keep you from falling!
